Compassionate Inquiry
Compassionate Inquiry (CI) is a treatment modality for those who wish to uncover unconscious beliefs that are guiding their lives in ways they wish they wouldn’t. This modality uses mindfulness and somatic tracking to reconnect to our physical bodies with the belief that our bodies communicate valuable information when we pay attention. CI takes into account how our experiences, and lack of experiences, (perhaps more important is the attunement we received as children) influence nervous system development.

CI uses compassion to guide the client into a deeper awareness of who they are believing themselves to be. With compassion at the center of treatment, a client can begin to become curious about the stories they are identifying with, and begin to create new stories for their lives.
“The purpose of the Compassionate Inquiry system is to drill down to the core stories people tell themselves – to get them to see what story they are telling themselves unconsciously; what those beliefs are, where they came from; and guide them to the possibility of letting go of those stories, or letting go of the hold those stories have on them” -Gabor Mate
