Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a well-known, and thoroughly researched, evidence-based treatment used to treat people suffering from a wide range of mental health conditions including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Phobias
- Addictions
- Eating disorders
- Panic attacks
- Anger
- and more
CBT focuses on challenging and changing unhelpful cognitive distortions and behaviors and creating coping skills and goals that target problem-solving.
All of Harmony Harbor counselors use CBT strategies. In fact, they are trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy or DBT, which also falls under the CBT umbrella. You can read about our DBT Program here.
