Have You Been Feeling Too Anxious To Enjoy Your Life?
- Are you suffering from racing thoughts, panic attacks, and sleep troubles?
- Do you have difficulty concentrating because of how stressed you are?
- Deep down, does it feel like you just can’t catch a break?
Maybe you feel like you’re constantly on edge and on high alert, as if your mind is racing at a thousand miles per hour. You might experience chest tightness, heavy breathing, heart palpitations, and other uncomfortable physical sensations. Perhaps you suffer from intense self-criticism and perfectionism—you’re always comparing yourself to others and worrying that you don’t measure up. As a result, maybe you’re thinking it’s time to see an anxiety therapist.
Anxiety Doesn't Define You: Transform Fear to Confidence
Anxiety can impact your ability to engage in work, school, social functions, and just about any activity. You may find yourself turning down social invitations, isolating more than usual, and passing up that new job interview or potential date. After a while, this could create a deep sense of shame—the inability to perform up to expectations leads to feelings of grief and loss and makes you wonder: Am I just not good enough?
At Harmony Harbor, we’re here to remind you that you are good enough and your struggle does not define you. Anxiety can be debilitating, but it is also a treatable mental health conditions. Our holistic, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral therapy approach is designed to help you find calm within and regain a sense of confidence and control over your life.

Rediscover A World Not Ruled By Worry & Stress
Anxiety is so much more than just a mental health condition—it’s a survival mechanism that can literally keep you alive. This is why there’s no need to feel ashamed about anxiety. Our brains have a default network that is wired for survival and tends to err by over-identifying danger.
Unfortunately, for millions of people in today’s world, this survival response can spiral out of control. For them, anxiety has become a chronic condition that affects everything they do—their work, their hobbies, and their social lives.
This is especially true for young adults. Although our practice serves people of all ages with anxiety, data shows young adults ages 18-26 seem to suffer most from chronic anxiety. None of which is surprising, when you consider that growing up in today’s world often means dealing with many unique stressors, such as financial challenges, academic stress, and an epidemic of loneliness. Even though anxiety tends to decrease in prevalence as one ages, an average of one out of five adults in the U.S. are currently suffering from anxiety, with women reporting more anxiety than men.
Healing Anxiety with Compassion
Not only do we live in a stressful, deadline-filled, work-till-you-drop society, but most of us aren’t given the tools to handle anxiety or respond appropriately when other people experience it. As a result, chronic invalidation often goes hand in hand with anxiety. When we don’t show up and perform up to expectations, we’re often met with negative feedback—people tell us to get over it, pull ourselves up by the bootstraps, and other invalidating messages.
What we really need is a nurturing and kind space where we can be present with our anxiety—and all our feelings, for that matter—without having to worry about what other people will think. At Harmony Harbor, that’s what we’re known for—non-judgmental, compassionate care.
Where Science Meets Serenity in Anxiety Treatment
As therapists, our mission is to help you get back to living fully as you did before anxiety took over. Our scientifically grounded treatment, based in neuroscience, will equip you with a wide range of coping skills and help you understand anxiety on a deeper level. We are holistic in our approach and believe in treating the whole person, which is why we combine clinical interventions with a mix of breathwork, mindfulness, nature therapy, expressive arts, and other alternative counseling strategies.
Whether you’re struggling with social anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, phobias, GAD, or any other form of anxiety, our integrative approach to therapy can create lasting change. We work with children, teens, and adults and are proud to offer a wide range of services, including diagnostic tests and group therapy options.
With every client, and from the initial appointment, we track progress and measure results, ensuring that everyone we work with is met with care, compassion, and data-driven outcomes. In an effort to increase access to care and provide equitable opportunity, each clinician is able to offer adjusted rates based on need.
What To Expect In Anxiety Counseling Sessions
Anxiety is a mind-body experience, which is why our holistic, “bottom-up” approaches make such a difference. Our therapists are certified and highly trained in Brainspotting and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), both of which can quickly resolve fears, phobias, excessive worry, repetitive thoughts, and more. For those who may prefer alternative methods, we also offer Drama Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy for children and adults, and clients do not need experience to participate in these treatments.
Trauma-informed Yoga, Nature Therapy, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) are all forms of treatment that can efficiently rewire the body’s experience of stress, helping break patterns of stuckness and allowing you to achieve a deeper inner harmony. As a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) practice, all of our clinicians are trained and mentored in DBT, which provides a myriad of interventions to help you develop skills to manage anxiety and find lasting relief.
Even more, we are proud to offer DBT skills training groups as part of our treatment program for anxiety. Group therapy is a great opportunity to meet likeminded people who share your struggles, and it can equip you with a wide range of skills for navigating emotions, managing distress, and increasing mindfulness. We also provide phone coaching for our DBT clients outside of sessions, giving you the support you need when you need it the most and setting you up for lasting change.
Reclaim Your Peace
Our practice is deeply committed to every client who walks through our doors. We believe you deserve to feel calm, centered, and confident. And though healing from anxiety doesn’t happen overnight, with the right support, it’s absolutely possible. Our compassionate team is here to walk alongside you, helping you reconnect with your breath, your body, and your sense of self.
If you’ve been feeling stuck in the grip of anxiety, know that you are not alone. Together, we’ll find the tools you need to move forward with confidence.
You May Have Some Questions About Anxiety Therapy…
The good news is that in therapy, the opposite usually happens—clients usually feel an immense relief after the first session, as if a weight has been lifted off their chest. That said, we know that talking about anxiety can be anxiety-provoking in and of itself, which is why we often spend time in counseling teaching grounding and coping skills. These skills are the pathway to helping you feel supported and move toward balance.
Our compassionate providers are highly trained and skilled in addressing anxiety, and we pride ourselves on being kind and nonjudgmental. We know how many people have come from bad experiences with therapy, and that’s why we’re so passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. We make every effort to match you with a clinician who fits your needs and preferences, and we have many counselors with different skillsets.
We believe treating a child or teen means treating parents and family systems, and in fact, youth usually report that they benefit most from having their parents involved (even if they don’t admit it to you). Of course, we understand that your child needs their own space, too, and we want to respect that. If your child is under 15, we’ll meet with you first and then meet with your child in subsequent sessions, although we are happy to offer parent support groups along the way.
